We offer a comprehensive text-based program for students in grades 4th-12th for one semester (18 weeks) or two semesters (36 weeks).

The project-based curriculum for K-8th is ideal for students who want options and variety in their learning assignments.

Our High School textbook curriculum addresses academic subjects with care and an emphasis on critical thinking skills. With text-based courses in the core subject areas of English, science, math, social studies, foreign language and fine arts or elective subjects, students can prepare for college, complete honors-level work or make up courses missed due to extenuating circumstances. All Laurel Springs textbooks are carefully chosen based on the quality of their academic content, their visual appeal and their suitability for a wide range of learning styles.

As in our online classes, our text-based syllabi are divided into 18 weekly assignments per semester. Yearlong classes consist of 36 weekly assignments. Our text-based college prep and honors courses also fulfill UC a-g admission requirements.

We have textbook-based courses available for all high school grades and for special needs, honors and college preparatory levels.

The Learning Styles Profile gave us a much better understanding of our children, and for that we are extremely grateful. Customization allowed them to learn as they were designed to learn. Since we live in Japan, access to the LSS website and instant messaging with the teacher were extremely helpful. Barbara Cook's flexibility and caring was much appreciated. We were worried that Ian would never find the right learning environment, and in LSS he has. We think your school is a great step forward in the evolution of education.
