Since the beginning of November, the students that makeup Laurel Springs School’s global community of learners have been participating in the time-honored celebrations of their distinctive cultures, from Diwali, Hindu Festival of Lights, at the start of the month to the recent Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. As we enter the final month of the calendar year, Hanukkah is currently underway and Christmas and Kwanzaa are soon to follow.
During this most festive of seasons, I wanted to take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to you and your family. These celebrations allow us to spend time with our loved ones and take joy in the close relationships that give life such tremendous meaning.
Reflecting on how unique your holiday experiences must be compared to mine, I am reminded of all we share despite our school’s astounding diversity. Serving the students of Laurel Springs for over 20 years has been a tremendous honor; the relationships I’ve developed with you and your families inspire me every day and demonstrate how valuable personal connection is to our community. Your dedication to your studies and your passions are motivational, and your achievements bring me such an enormous sense of pride. It is truly a privilege to work with you, learn from you, and hear of your many successes. Our relationships and shared experiences are at the very heart of what makes Laurel Springs such a special place.
Thank you again for being part of the Laurel Springs’ community. I wish you all a wonderfully restorative holiday season with your loved ones, and I look forward to the extraordinary promise that 2019 holds.
