If you’ll be transitioning to college in the fall and still need options to help fund the next level of your education, take a look at some of the scholarships currently available with deadlines approaching in May.

American Floral Endowment Scholarships

Award: 20 awards; Varies
Deadline: May 1, 2020
Description: AFE understands the costs of higher education and strives to do what they can to lessen the burden, especially on students pursuing degrees in the floriculture and horticultural fields. Students can apply by submitting an online application along with all supporting documents.

Visionary Scholarship Program

Award: Multiple awards; $1,000–$5,000
Deadline: May 1, 2020
Description: The American College Foundation is built on helping to make higher education possible by providing parents and students resources to make the process easier. One of the major hurdles is financing this next step, which is where this scholarship comes in. To apply, students must submit an online application, a copy of their transcript, and an essay explaining the importance of college.

TigerChef.com Culinary & Hospitality Scholarship

Award: 2 awards; $1,000
Deadline: May 15, 2020
Description: TigerChef is dedicated to supplying restaurants and catering businesses with the best kitchen tools. They want to share their passion for cooking with future leaders of the industry by offering this scholarship for students with the same culinary dreams. Students can apply by submitting an essay (500–600 words) on what inspired them to choose their path in culinary education.

Description: The Positive Coaching Alliance believes that encouraging athletes helps them develop valuable skills.
