Meet the Laurel Springs Alumni Council

1/15/21

alumni councilThe Laurel Springs School Alumni Association is a continually growing cohort of LSS graduates who want to reconnect, seek and provide mentorship, and develop new relationships with other alumni while remaining close to the Laurel Springs community. Alumni have the opportunity to network, attend special alumni webinars and events, and participate in mentorship and volunteer service projects.

2020 was a big year for the Alumni Association. Over the summer, the launch of LSS Alumni Connect, an exclusive digital network, made it easier to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. The surge in alumni activity sparked the formation of the Alumni Council, a group of dedicated LSS alumni who volunteer their time to act as ambassadors of the association and plan various social and networking events to build this great community. This core group will play a key role in assisting with important decision making, developing mentorship programs, planning and hosting virtual and in-person events, spreading the word about LSS Alumni Connect, and much more.

The first virtual event was hosted just before the 2020 holiday season. According to Laurel Springs College & Alumni Relations Manager, Alyssa Polakowski, “I think it's safe to say that we had good, lighthearted holiday fun! Alumni who attended noted that they enjoyed the opportunity to meet new people, have casual conversations, play games, and catch up with other graduates. It was an intimate gathering and we look forward to hosting similar events in the future.”

Who’s Who in the Alumni Council

Ready to meet the members? Here’s who is currently leading the LSS Alumni Association as a Council member. Get to know a little more about them and feel free to reach out to them on LSS Alumni Connect!

"As an LSS Student I loved being involved in the yearbook club, the mock trial club, and through those, develop a sense of community with my classmates around the world.  Now that we all moved on from high School, I think it is important to keep that community active, and I would love to be a part of that." ~Caroline Tossens

"I absolutely loved my time at Laurel Springs School and would like to tell others about my experience and my love for online learning especially during these unprecedented times. I am currently in college and studying to become a teacher myself and would love to get further involved with Laurel Springs." ~Daniella Tomaselli

"I am going into the career field of Investment Banking, which is a career in which connections are of utmost importance. For this reason, I have learned the importance of alumni mentorship bonds and want to give back to Laurel Springs. I know that I would find fulfillment through helping these students achieve their dreams and receive guidance in life."  ~Kate Florence Martin
