If there's a stage to command, Marcelle LeBlanc is on it. From a movie set to the pageant stage, this Laurel Springs Junior charms audiences wherever she goes, all while serving her community and continuing her education.

MarcelleSolid Stage Presence

Acting in film and television has put Marcelle on the set of Stranger Things, Criminal Minds, and the upcoming 20th Century Fox movie, Fear Street! Her love for the arts inspired the creation of the scholarship program, Stars Over Alabama. Along with the Alabama Arts Alliance, they provide other passionate artists an opportunity to participate in community and school programs—including dance classes and voice lessons.
Marcelle strives to not only serve the creative community, but the entire state of Alabama as well. After recently being crowned Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen, that's exactly what she's doing. "I am so honored to be able to represent not only my state, but the 41 amazing girls that I competed with! I love seeing an organization that empowers young females to be an active leader in their community."
Active leader is certainly a title fit for Marcelle. This platform gives her the opportunity to promote the arts scholarship, thus giving back to future creatives. "I have learned so much about public speaking, confidence, leadership, and so much more!" And she applies all of this knowledge into her school work as well.

In Class with Miss Congeniality

When Marcelle is not involved on stage, she's involved in school. In addition to completing her second year at Laurel Springs, she finds time to focus on being the administrator of StuGo and a member of the National Honor Society, Songbirds, drama club, and yearbook! "Laurel Springs has given me the opportunity to reach my full potential by spending more time on my career," says Marcelle. "I have loved my time here, and I look forward to opening my last year of high school as a Laurel Springs student!"
Her last year at Laurel Springs may come with a new title. "Later this summer, I will be competing for Miss America’s Outstanding Teen," she said. Whatever title Marcelle takes on, she's sure to show that impressive stage presence with each role.
