Beyond homeschool…world school
We engage global learners in an education that values them as individuals and fosters inquiry, growth, mastery, purpose, and independence. It’s learning, without limits. Our self-paced, mastery-based instructional model allows students to revisit material until they achieve the desired level of proficiency before moving on to the next level. In addition, our personalized learning experience recognizes each student’s unique strengths and needs to empower curiosity through a stimulating curriculum and opportunities for interaction with peers and teachers.
Personalized homeschool alternative for elementary, middle, & high school
As the pioneering first online school in the U.S., with nearly 30 years in the field of distance learning, our personalized online curriculum allows students from kindergarten through high school to learn at their own pace, from the comfort of their home—or anywhere in the world.
Our academic year consists of two, five-month semesters. Students may complete coursework in as little as two-and-a-half months up to the full five months. Providing students the flexibility they require to integrate their passions and pursuits into academic and career pathways
Homeschooling or school-from-home: the choice is yours
Homeschooling your child is a big commitment. As a homeschooling parent, you research the curriculum, develop lesson plans, and grade homework and quizzes. Ultimately, you are dedicating yourself and your time to your child’s homeschool education from kindergarten to high school.
We expect parents to be partners in student learning. The role of the parent is to provide organization and structure, to help create a proper learning environment, and to promote continuity in the learning process.

Join the un-school revolution
Meet McKenzie Holmes: Laurel Springs scholar, author, and leader
An ordinary high-school experience might not include writing a children’s book and trilogy.
An ordinary high-school student might not receive a prestigious academic fellowship with the think tank, The Heritage Foundation.
McKenzie Holmes is anything but ordinary. As a matter of fact, in our opinion, McKenzie is extraordinary.
