Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to educators worldwide! We’re excited to recognize the incredible impact our teachers have on Laurel Springs students and families. Their dedication to and passion for understanding and nurturing our students’ individual strengths and aspirations are what help make Laurel Springs’ learning experiences so awesome.

Our K-12 educators are highly trained, experienced, and well-versed in the online learning environment. They understand that every child at Laurel Springs has a unique situation and  learning preferences, so, they support each student individually to provide what they need to learn successfully. This approach is so effective that we recently heard from a 2023 graduate, “I never thought I’d be a happy learner, but my teachers at Laurel Springs made me one.” If that isn’t an illustration of how our teachers go the extra mile, then what is?!

From cultivating happy learners to helping graduates prepare for their post-graduate plans, here’s how our teachers show up and support our global student body:

• Offering daily office hours and extending availability to individual students via appointments     
• Supplying 1-1 constructive feedback
• Connecting with parents regularly and via Parent-Teacher Conferences every April and October
• Working with students to understand their unique situations, schedules, and learning preferences
• Help preparing for official and unofficial student-athlete visits to colleges
• Supplying messages of encouragement
• Serving as advisors for clubs and activities
• Participating and chaperoning in-person events like YEC, field trips, and meet-ups
