Our accredited online school offers programs for all levels of K-12 education, including an online elementary school, an online middle school, and an online high school. Additional programs for further academic experience include our Gifted and Talented Academy and an online summer program.
It’s vital to have a strong foundation when laying the groundwork for a child’s future academic success. That’s why the lower school learning team at Laurel Springs goes above and beyond to encourage a student’s exploration and foster a positive learning experience for our youngest students. Beginning in lower school, the elementary school faculty focuses on nurturing the natural love of learning in a child through a stimulating curriculum and meaningful feedback that students and families can build upon. Students also have the option to join clubs with like-minded peers their age that are tailored to their interests and hobbies.
The middle school program at Laurel Springs continues the nurturing of your child’s natural love of learning while laying the foundation for success in the upper school program. During our students’ time in middle school, they receive social, personal, and academic support while they work through the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. This support includes customized learning plans to ensure the best educational experience. Students in the middle school program have the opportunity to develop their time management skills further as they progress into more independent learners. Additionally, students in the sixth-eight grade can begin adding electives to their experience with Laurel Springs and can join our school’s private social network. These offerings foster collaboration and expand our students’ reach in our global community.
The upper school program at Laurel Springs offers exceptional course and curriculum options that are designed to challenge students to grow, explore, and discover. We’ve carefully designed our honors, college prep, and advanced placement courses to prepare our students for their goals after graduating like college and life beyond academics.
Laurel Springs School’s Gifted and Talented Academy is a distance learning program for gifted students with an individualized learning plan that challenges and suits each student’s unique abilities. Students are placed in courses that are most appropriate for their learning level, instead of relying on their age as the main determinant. The plan is built upon each student’s needs and strengths to foster the best possible educational experience and allow them to flourish academically. Students engage in in-depth study and collaboration with their teachers and peers across many different topics, which require them to demonstrate problem–solving skills, leadership skills, and creative thinking abilities.
The single course offerings at Laurel Springs School provide educational opportunities for students who need to complete prerequisite courses or meet requirements for graduation. This program includes a wide range of college prep, honors, AP, and world language courses that students can take online from anywhere while they continue to attend their primary school program. College prep courses include full teacher services and individualized grading. Because of this, most of the courses we offer are NCAA and University of California a-g approved, and we have an excellent record of our courses being accepted by a student’s primary school
Laurel Springs School’s summer program offers a wide range of courses, including world languages and electives that might not be offered at a student’s school, as well as honors and Advanced Placement. Our academic offerings provide flexibility for learning and help to address the issues of course availability at any time of the year. All of our summer courses include full teacher services and individualized grading, and many of them are NCAA and University of California a-g approved.
