Welcome to Laurel Springs School! We’re happy you’ve joined our amazing school community. Sure, it can be a little intimidating to start a new school, so we’re here to ease the transition and make your school experience fantastic.
How to prepare for your first day at Laurel Springs
To get ready for your first day, here’s what to look out for and how to navigate your Laurel Springs Portal. Plus, you’ll find out how to get the scoop on all things social at Laurel Springs.
Keep an eye out for emails
The first email you’ll receive is a Welcome Video. This video will walk you through what you can expect to see in your Learning Management System (LMS), so watch it to get an overview of what your first day online will look like.
Then, you’ll receive an email containing your log-in information to the Laurel Springs Portal.
After this email, you should see emails from your teachers who are reaching out to introduce you to their courses. You’ll also receive a welcome email from your Enrollment Coordinator.
Parents: Student Services hosts a weekly Q&A session for parents to drop in and ask questions. The date, time, and link will be sent through your designated Admissions Coordinator if you’re interested in attending before your child’s first day.

This course, like your other courses, is self-paced. You should plan on completing it before you begin your other coursework to learn the ins and outs of Laurel Springs.

When you feel confident using the system, access our Social Community via your Social Community Buzz course. If you’re a full-time Laurel Springs student, this course appears in your LMS alongside all of your classes. Open the course to find information about clubs, hangouts, events, virtual field trips, and more. You can easily access the most up-to-date Social Community Calendar with registration links right on your dashboard.
And, there’s no need to sign up for clubs. Simply use the club landing page in your Social Community Buzz hub to join the meeting on the designated day and time each month using the meeting link provided.
