Dual enrollment prepares students for the college experience as they interact with professors and college students. Students build confidence as they develop an understanding of the academic environment and what to expect in the college classroom while simultaneously fulfilling high school graduation requirements.

Students in dual enrollment can potentially earn transferable college credits. By entering college with existing credits, students will have a head start on their college careers and save on college tuition.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA	Enrollment in Laurel Springs’ dual enrollment program with Baylor University requires students to meet the following conditions: Full-time enrollment in grades 11-12, or grades 9-12 enrolled in The Academy, or be an enrolled postgraduate student 14 years of age or older Completed Honors or CP Geometry with a grade of 86.5% or higher Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level English (if offered) in the enrollment preceding or concurrent with the dual enrollment. Completed or enrolled in AP or Honors-level (if offered) of the same subject as the college level course(s) in the enrollment preceding dual enrollment course(s). DUAL ENROLLMENT OPPORTUNITY	Honors College program taught by Baylor professors online Semester-long 15-week sessions Asynchronous, self-paced, or hybrid: some courses with required meeting times on specific days/times of the week	Office of Pre-College Programs taught by Syracuse professors & instructors online Rolling admission for 8-week accelerated sessions Hybrid: asynchronous coursework with 8 required synchronous class sessions taking place each week for 90 minutes

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION	If a student is unable to enroll in their preferred course due to low enrollment or full classes, a different course during that semester or a future semester may be selected depending on course availability. Students may request to enroll in additional courses beyond the number of dual enrollment courses included in the Laurel Springs Tuition model; however, counselor approval is required and students are responsible for paying the tuition per credit hour for additional coursework. For information about course changes and academic progress monitoring, refer to Laurel Springs’ Student/Parent Handbook and to the university’s policies. The university will share a grade report with Laurel Springs after grades are finalized. Follow the procedures outline by the university to send an official transcript to another institution at the conclusion of the course.
