Middle School Drawing
This course provides plentiful opportunities to explore a variety of mediums including ink, charcoal, crayons, pastels, colored pencils, and digital tools. Students will gain an understanding of foundational artistic concepts including color theory, elements of design, and principles of design all while practicing techniques such as various forms of shading, perspective, texture, volume, contrast, movement, rhythm, pattern, basic human anatomy/proportion, and so much more.
Throughout the course, students will develop their own unique artistic voices, share their original compositions, have the opportunity to appreciate the works of others, and provide helpful and supportive feedback to one another. This course will serve as a fantastic foundation for future high school art courses. MS Drawing is perfect for students hoping to stretch their creative muscles!
