Course Overview & Highlights
In LS Spanish 3, students will start by asking for the name of different school objects in Spanish. They will use the alphabet to spell the name of various school supplies and will learn to politely ask for repetition and clarification when they do not understand something.
Next, students will learn how to talk about their nationality and birthday in Spanish. At the beginning of the second semester, students will learn how to describe food using colors and will use indefinite articles to identify and name fruits. Students will finish the course by asking for and providing descriptions of clothing and their location in Spanish. To do this, they will use adjectives and prepositions. Cultural topics are interwoven throughout the entire course. Some examples include: inventions and contributions from various Pre-Columbian communities, exotic foods from Latin America, and clothing for various events and celebrations in Latin America and Spain.
